David Wood graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1989 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has more than 20 years of Engineering experience including 15 years in various building construction, renovation, maintenance and property management positions. David was responsible for managing the sale and lease of several million dollars of real estate, as well as managing millions of dollars of facility renovations and capital projects with two Fortune 500 companies. David has extensive experience in Environmental compliance, Health and Safety, Security and equipment design and maintenance. He has managed Phase I and II environmental audits, asbestos removal, underground storage tank removal and PCB management and disposal projects. He has hands-on experience in bridge deck restoration, building envelope restoration and waterproofing and basement waterproofing and foundation repair. In 2002, David completed "The Carson Dunlop Home Inspection Training Program" and started David Wood Engineering Ltd. to provide Home Inspection services. From 2006 to 2009, David was responsible for conducting building condition assessments of multi-unit residential and commercial buildings. David has continued to develop his building science expertise, and is now a Certified Energy Advisor and a qualified ecoEnergy Retrofit Homes trainer. |
